I started contracting at midnight... arrived at the hospital at 5:30AM... admitted at 7:30AM... epidural at 11AM... told that my baby would arrive by 5PM. I was told "no one ever progresses this quickly on their own! You are doing great!"
Then... 5 hours of pushing... some puking... a few scary moments... and an emergency c-section (boo).
Luckily, what came after that was a beautiful, healthy baby girl with amazing red hair. She has brought so much joy to us and was the best Christmas present I could ever ask for (even if she arrived a few days in advance).
Thank you for all of your good thoughts and wishes. We are doing well at home - a little tired, but deliriously happy.
